All praise be to Allah. Peace and blessings be on Rasool Allah, our beloved Prophet Mohammed SAW. Auspicious prayers be on his Ahl-e-Bait and on all his just and devoted Saints.
It is seen with gratitude that in almost all Muslim countries men of religion have always been striving to disseminate and defend the right path of Ahl-e-Sunnah. It is seen, however; a few ignorant people who have not read or could not understand the books of Ahl-e-Sunnah servants and have been attacking them unjustly.
Hazrat Yahya Pasha Qibla wrote “Noor-e-Hidayat” in answer to the allegations impost by deviated Muslims of those times. This struggle between true Ahl-e-Sunnah Muslims and deviated ones has taken place in every century, and it will continue till the end of the world. Allah has pre-destined eternally before, that this will be so.
Reverend Syedi Yahya Pasha Qibla has written Noor-e-Hidayat in such a lively manner, that whoever reads the book will be wholly engrossed in it , for its simple Question-Answer Method, where in two friends discussing the facts of religion. His Highness has quoted the Quranic verses, Ahadith and incidences revealing the actions of Companions of the Holy Prophet SAW and their Successors ,with respect to Visiting Graveyards, Respecting the Graves, Kissing the Graves, Listening of the Dead, Beseeching Help etc.
Noor-e-Hidayat is very well received by masses, not only in India but also in Pakistan. By the mercy of Allah SWT we have already published eight editions. And recently one more edition from the U.S.A is published.
The need of the hour, however, is to publish the book in English because the new generation is more familiar with English. May infinite thanks be to Allah SWT for vouchsafing me a lot by giving me my Inspiration, my father Dr. Syed Abdul Qadir Hussaini ,my `Role Model` my mother Mrs. Amatul Aziz Zubaida and my `Pillar of Support` my husband Syed Ubaidullah Hussaini Iftequari. These are the three very important people behind this book and this work would not have been possible without them. I am thankful to Allah SWT for having bestowed me a mother like no other, who always appreciated my inclination towards books and never asked me to help her in her daily chores, specially during the translation of this book. I am indebted to my father for my growing with love and wisdom. It is only his pearls of wisdom that provoked my mind and will provoke me always. I am very grateful to my husband for his constant watchful eye on each and every aspect of the book from editing to typing to various other valuable advices. He always gave his helping hand apart from his own busy schedule. Finally, we have accomplished the task and this new edition “Light of Guidance” is ready to scatter the celestial light of guidance in the darkness of the society.
We pray Allah SWT to accept this work and to shower His blessings on all those who strived hard to produce Noor-e-Hidayat (Original) and its translation ‘Light of Guidance’.

I hope that readers would surely give this matter a profound thought and would try to amend themselves. Allah SWT says in Holy Quran: And say to those who was given the Scripture and to those who are illiterates :”Do you (also) submit yourselves (to Allah)”.If they do, they are rightly guided; but if they turn away, your duty is only to convey the Message; and Allah is All-Seer of (His) slaves.
